PIK research structure

PIK's research programme is carried out by its four research domains. Each research domain organizes its work in two or three research areas, within which flagship projects address key medium-term research questions and challenges. These flagship projects provide a thematic container for relevant externally funded and internal projects. In addition, cross-cutting activities (for example, on models or methods) take place within each research domain.

The flagship projects are periodically evaluated: the last evaluation of all PIK flagship projects took place in 2011 during an internal review of the institute's research programme.
