      The aim of this cross-cutting activity is to explore, design and implement innovative means to improve the accessibility of climate change related scientific results and to improve the understanding of complex scientific knowledge. We focus on two complementary branches: (i) tailored interactive digital information systems, and (ii) innovative media products.

      These webportals shows the results of climate impact research for different sectors (agricultural sector, forestry, hydrology, energy and tourism). The basis for ClimateImpactsOnline was the Climate-KIC funded project CIES - Climate Impacts Expert System, see also www.pik-potsdam.de/cies.

    • Environmental Education at PIK - PIKEE
      Speakers: Ines Blumenthal
      The aim of the project is to support teachers to make the complex interrelationship of climate change easier to comprehend. The available public accessible online tool www.KlimafolgenOnline.com will be developed further to cater for a tailored version specific to the needs and demands for use in schools. Furthermore teaching units will be prepared and available for download. In addition there are accompanying lectures and workshops for teachers and trainee teachers.
