The Decarbonization of the Global Economy - 7th Stuttgart Symposium on Energy Storage 2018

Everyone is talking about mobility - the motor of the future should be clean, affordable, convenient and always available. The limitation of fossil fuels, climate change and air pollution demand alternative solutions from the automotive industry such as for example the electric drive. This year, the Stuttgart Symposium on Energy Storage highlights the charging infrastructure for electric and fuel cell vehicles, the availability of alternative fuels and the industrial and scientific aspects of the different motor concepts. In this context, PIK-chief economist Ottmar Edenhofer will give a talk about the decarbonization of the global economy and the related costs, risks and challenges. The Stuttgart Symposium on Energy Storage is a platform of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for the exchange of scientific and industrial aspects of energy storage for renewable energies. The event will be held in German language, the entrance is subject to charges. A prior registration is requested.
