Make open climate data work - re:publica 2018

Discussion with PIK-scientists Lila Warszawski and Tobias Geiger. "Scared of big data? We eat this stuff for breakfast!" The re:publica is "one of the largest and most exciting conferences about digital culture in the world". In their discussion, the researchers Lila Warszawski, Tobias Geiger and Simon David Hirsbrunner, and the editor Toralf Staud "will explore, interrelate and discuss the myriad layers of digital data within the world of climate change research – petabytes of raw data stored in scientific supercomputers, countless pages of online explanation, documentation and visualization, as well as seemingly endless social media threads passionately debating these explanations." The event is part of the re:publica, hence a conference ticket has to be purchased to get access to the venue.
