Impacts World 2017: Counting the true costs of climate change

Impacts World is the leading international conference covering the diversity and depth of climate-impacts research today. It showcases not only the very latest in our scientific understanding of the impacts of climate change, placing a particular focus on the most pertinent and pressing political questions of the day, but shines a spotlight on the challenges that lie ahead for this research community, and offers ample time for in-depth discussions and dedicated working groups. The Impacts World 2017 is organized by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It will address four key challenges for counting the true costs of climate change: economic costs, human migration, human health and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the Impacts World 2017, plenary sessions, workshops and an interactive poster session will be devoted to the exploration of these challenges. Registration is necessary.
