Climate Change and its impacts on Potsdam. What can we do?

John Schellnhuber is founding director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and one of the world’s most renowned climate scientists. He is leading the PIK for more than 25 years and with his achievements he has substantially shaped climate science as well as the public and political debate about climate change and climate protection. The PIK and its director always fostered a special relationship with he institute’s hometown – Potsdam. About the impacts of climate change on the state capital and measures for climate change mitigation and adaptation, Schellnhuber will discuss on 31 August in the "Gespräch am Grünen Flügel" with the candidate for the position of head mayor of BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN Janny Armbruster.
