ALBATROSS: Film screening and discussion

In cooperation with the Berliner Künstlerprogramm of the DAAD and the city of Potsdam, each year the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) delivers a guest artist the opportunity of a residence in the historic building "Kleiner Refraktor" in the heart of the science park "Albert Einstein" on the Telegrafenberg. This year's Artist in Residence at PIK is Chris Jordan, photographer and director of the breathtaking movie ALBATROSS that is reflecting "the destructive power of our culture of mass consumption, and humanity's damaged relationship with the living world". Margret Boysen is coordinating the exchange program between science and arts and together with the artist she presents an exclusive screening of his film ALBATROSS in the art house cinema in Potsdam on 26 September. Following the film (97 min), Chris Jordan will answer questions from the audience. The entrance is free, the film and the event will be in English language.
