Veronika Huber studied biology and ecology at Ecole normale supérieure in Paris and at the Universities of Konstanz and Potsdam. She holds a PhD in ecology from the University of Potsdam. As a doctoral student, she worked at the Leibniz Institute for Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries in Berlin and at Kellogg Biological Station in Michigan, USA. She gained experience in the field of climate policy during an internship at the United Nations Environment Programme in Nairobi.
Since 2008 she has worked at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, initially as Research Analyst in the Director's Office, and most recently as a member of the coordination team of the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISI-MIP). From 2014 to 2015 she was a visiting scientist at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre in Seville, Spain.
