Ulrike Sylla studied German Linguistics, Sociology and Economics at the Potsdam University and the University of Limerick. Before starting her job at PIK as Scientific Coordinator in 2008, she gained wide experience in the fields of project management, further education, and strategic marketing at different universities and private training providers in Germany (Potsdam, Bremen) and abroad (Slovakia). Alongside her job she completed her doctoral degree in social sciences by interconnecting the fields of social innovations and sustainable lifestyles. From 2017-2020, Ulrike led the project BePerfekt, a joint initiative of PIK, KIT and HZDR to train knowledge and technology transfer officers. In her current transfer project SoftWert, started in September 2020, Ulrike explores options for a structured transfer of PIK's software and data to users in business and society.
