Leander joined the Urban Transformations group at PIK in February 2022. As a doctoral researcher he investigates clustering behaviour of urban land cover within the UPon project under supervision of Diego Rybski.
Leander holds a Master's degree in Physics and Philosophy from the University of Oxford (2017), as well as a MSc in Mathematics of Systems from the University of Warwick (2019). As such his Academic training spans both science and the humanities. He has also worked professionally in Education and in the mobility technology industry as a data engineer. His interests include urbanism, complexity and throwing parties. That's why he is also volunteering as PhD representative, working towards improving social life at PIK.
