Ramona Gulde coordinates scientific research projects of Research Department 3 "Transformation Pathways".

Currently, Ramona is managing the EU Horizon 2020 project NAVIGATE, which PIK is coordinating. The aim of the project is to improve the capability of Integrated Assessment Models. NAVIGATE will provide new insight into how long-term climate goals can translate into short-term policy action, and how countries and sectors can work in concert to implement the Paris Agreement. The project runs from 2019-2023 and the project consortium consists of 17 partner institutions.

From 2019-2022 Ramona was involved in the Dialogue on the Economics of Climate change. The Dialogue accompanied and supported the BMBF funding measure Economics of Climate Change II, sponsoring 29 research projects that provide solution-oriented knowledge in the field of climate economics. The aim of the Dialogue was to support knowledge transfer and exchange between scientists and practitioners incl. representatives of NGOs, industry, public authorities and politics.

Before joining PIK in 2018, Ramona worked in consulting companies that advise political decision-makers, international organizations and NGOs on strategic decisions concerning their projects and programs in the fields of renewable energies, energy efficiency and other issues of climate protection. A focus was on the evaluation of programs and the optimization of political instruments.
