Peggy Graefe

Scientific coordinator
Graefe

Peggy Gräfe studied agricultural and horticultural sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin, Faculty of Agriculture and Horticulture, and has worked at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since 1993. Her initial research focus was on analysing the impacts of enriched CO2 on plant growth. Later on she was involved in several projects on integrated climate impact studies in different regions.

She was co-editor of Chapter III "Auswirkungen des Klimawandels in Deutschland" in the book "Klimawandel in Deutschland", Springer 2017 and Co-editor of the special edition "German Climate Impact Study", Meteorologische Zeitung 2015. In 2018 she was appointed to the Advisory Board of the H2020 EU project SOCLIMPACT "DownScaling CLImate ImPACTs and decarbonisation pathways in EU islands, and enhancing socioeconomic and non-market evaluation of Climate Change for Europe, for 2050 and beyond". Within the Leibniz Research Alliance "INFECTIONS´ 21" she is one of the representatives of PIK.

Since 2008 she is the scientific coordinator of Research Department 2 "Climate Resilience" (former Research Domain 2 "Climate Impacts and Vulnerabilities") at PIK.
