Research Domain II: Climate Impacts and Vulnerabilities

Academic degrees:

  • 2012: PhD in Technical Sciences in the field of Environmental Engineering awarded by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management - National Research Institute, Poland. Title of dissertation: Impacts of natural and anthropogenic conditions on the hydrological regime of rivers: A Narew River Basin case study.
  • 2007: MSc in Applied Mathematics from the University of Warsaw (College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in Mathematics and Natural Sciences).

Research interests:

  • modelling impacts of natural and anthropogenic change on catchment hydrology
  • modelling cost-efficient reductions of nutrient loads to surface waters
  • development of qualitative and quantitatve scenarios for driving forces important in water resources management
  • environmental flow assessment methods
  • application of GIS and geostatistics in hydrology
