Marina Friedrich joined PIK in February 2018 as part of the “Energy Strategies Europe and Germany” (ESED) group. Having a background in Econometrics - in particular time series analysis - her previous work at Maastricht University evolved around trend analysis and bootstrapping techniques. Both were applied to climatological time series such as atmospheric ethane. Her research includes the transformation of the energy sector as well as the European cap-and-trade system of CO2 allowances (EU ETS).
