I am a Postdoctoral researcher working in the SynXtreme project investigating the drivers and synchronization pattern of extreme rainfall. In my recent projects I focus on the role of atmospheric rivers in the context of extreme rainfall on the northern hemisphere.
In May 2021 I obtained a Ph.D in theoretical physics. During the time as a doctoral researcher I mainly worked together with Prof. Reik Donner on functional climate networks and associated applications and concepts.
In addition, I work together with Dr. Philipp Lorenz-Spreen (MPI-Human Development) on Social Acceleration and the impact of social media on public discourse.
