Svenja studied Economics at the University of Erfurt and International Development Studies at Philipps University Marburg. Before starting a PhD at PIK, she worked as an intern at the African Climate and Development Initative at the University of Cape Town. Her PhD research focuses on climate adaptation in rural Mongolia.
