Influence of solar activity on the climate

One of my major research interests are astronomical influences on Earth's climate, in particular the relationship between solar variability and climate changes.

Recent research highlights

February 2013: New paper: On the relation between solar activity and clear-sky terrestrial irradiance published in Solar Physics Preprint. See also my terrestrial irradiance page.

August 2011: Are the most recent estimates for Maunder Minimum solar irradiance in agreement with temperature reconstructions?

April 2011: No evidence for a strong effect of solar activity on terrestrial insolation

March 2010: How would a new grand minimum of solar activity affect the future climate?
