Curriculum Vitae

Before coming to the PIK, Ingo Bräuer worked as a Senior Fellow at Ecologic-Institute with a research focus on environmental economics, the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive and market based instruments for biodiversity conservation.

Further places of work were the Department of Economics at the Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, Germany and a post-doctoral position at the Centre for Sustainable Development (IZNE) at the University of Göttingen within the Graduiertenkolleg “Valuation and Preservation of Biodiversity”.

Ingo Bräuer studied Biology at the Universities of Göttingen/Germany and Glasgow/Scotland followed by a PhD at the Department of Environmental and Resource Economics at the University of Göttingen. His PhD work focused on the development of evaluation methods within Cost Benefit Analysis in the field of nature conservation.
