Mail: P.O.Box 60 12 03, 14412 Potsdam, Germany
Visiting address: Potsdam, Telegrafenberg, Building A26 - cellar.
Current Research Interests:
- Biophysical impacts: development of process-based emulators for global impact projections and multi-model uncertainty analysis of changes in carbon sinks and fluxes in terrestrial biomes.
Urban sustainability: local biophysical and climate conditions for food and water security of large urbanized areas. The relation between urban form, land use patterns and CO2 emissions. The scaling properties of urban clusters, their underlying mechanisms and environmental implications.
- Selected topics in network theory and dynamical systems: Minimal models to address the structural and dynamical stability of systems subject to a changing environment. The role of observation in shaping the system predictability and domain of control.
