Keppler

Dorothee Keppler has been working at PIK's Research Department III Transformation Pathways since 2020. As scientific project coordinator, she supports around 15 current research projects and research proposals for third-party funded projects.

Her focus is on the research projects SHAPE and CHIPS, both funded by JPI AXIS programme, and on the Global Commons Stewardship project funded by Tokyo University.

Before coming to PIK, Dorothee worked for many years as a scientist and project leader at the TU Berlin, where she most recently headed the Climate and Energy Research Group of the Center for Technology and Society (Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft - ZTG). In her doctoral thesis, she reflected on the options for action of regional actors in the German energy transition using perspectives from the sociology of technology and regional science.
