PIK Research Alumni

What are PIK Research Alumni?

Research Alumni are international researchers who have spent a period as postdocs, PhD students or guest researchers at PIK and have since moved back to their home institution or on to a new position. Including them in our Alumni network helps ensure that the PIK community extends beyond the scientists currently working on Telegrafenberg, to former "PIKler" working at other institutions around the world!

Registration: Are you a former international researcher and would you like to join PIK's alumni and research alumni network. We'd be happy to welcome you to the network! Please fill in this short online registration (or print and fill in the registration form here).

PIK is grateful to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for support under its "Research-Alumni Strategies" programme. Funding from the programme supported the development of alumni activities at PIK in 2016 - 2018.

Objectives of the programme:

  • To welcome international researchers to PIK and help them to feel part of the PIK community
  • To strengthen links with research institutions abroad through promoting collaboration between researchers
  • To support return visits by former international researchers and foster contacts with them and their institutions.
