Description

Our main research question in the BYMARKA Project is: Are there patterns in the spatial and socioeconomic distribution of carbon footprints that can help in setting smart carbon footprint mitigation policies at the regional scale? To answer this question, we construct a spatially explicit gridded model of consumer demand based on household microdata and geodemographic census data and use this to calculate carbon and other resource footprints for cities and local governments globally.
