CURE

Copernicus for Urban Resilience in Europe

Combined information from Copernicus Core Services are used in CURE to address the multidimensionality of urban resilience. Spatially disaggregated environmental information, at local and city scales is not directly available from the Copernicus Core Services, while several data and products from contemporary satellite missions consist valuable tools for retrieving it. CURE is developing cross-cutting applications among the above Copernicus Core Services to address urban resilience, coping at the same time with the required scale with the exploitation of third-party data, in-situ observations and modelling, as appropriate.

CURE develops an umbrella with cross-cutting application for urban resilience, the CURE System, to be developed in DIAS (Data and Information Access Services), consisting of 11 individual cross-cutting applications.

In CURE PIK provides pivotal in-depth knowledge about Urban Transformation challenges to the consortium.
