GhanAgrica

A district-level case study in Ghana on climate risks and adaptation strategies for the agriculture sector

This project aims to address the gap between national-level planning needed for global policy processes, such as within NDC and NAP formulation, and local implementation of adaptation goals. Local climate risk projections will be conducted to inform communities in selected districts about future climate impacts. The results will then be taken up in local assessments of the suitability and cost-effectiveness of adaptation strategies, which include biophysical and economic evaluation (e.g. via a cost-benefit analysis), but also take into account socio-economic performance indicators, considering local perspectives, wishes and capabilities regarding adaptation.
