Publications in peer-reviewed international journals are a core output of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research – contributing to the ever-growing wealth of knowledge of the global scientific community. Other key outputs include cutting-edge computer models, methods and data. PIK commits itself to the idea of open science, hence scientists around the world can use such tools developed at PIK to advance their research. All this forms the base for another PIK output: providing science-based advice to decision-makers in policy, business and society. Furthermore, the institute makes scientific insights available to a broader public and engages in technology transfer. PIK aims to share science - because the climate challenge matters to everyone.
