INNOspace-Conference "Aerospace Technologies and Services for Agriculture"

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, the DLR Space Administration is organising a cross-sector conference on the potential for application of satellite-based earth observation, navigation and communication in agriculture, titled "Aerospace Technologies and Services for Agriculture - Agricultural Engineering, Digitisation, Climate Change and Biodiversity". Keynotes on the defined topics will introduce the audience to the subject. Afterwards, concrete new solutions and project ideas will be developed in four moderated workshops. The speakers are high-ranking experts from agricultural engineering (smart farming), space travel as well as climate and biodiversity research. PIK-scientist Hermann Lotze-Campen will give a lecture on "Sustainable Land Use, Climate Change and Biodiversity Protection: How can we use Space Services and Technologies effectively?" Further main topics of the conference are: Smart/Precision Farming and Agricultural Technology; Technology Transfer and Spin-Offs/Spin-Ins (Robotics, Sensors, Materials, etc.); Earth Observation, Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security. Admission to the event is free, a binding registration is required by 26 October. The conference will be held in German Language.
