FORMASAM 3rd Meeting

The third FORMASAM meeting took place on the 18-20th of September 2019 in Zvolen, Slovakia with participants from 13 countries. Among the main topics discussed at the meeting were forest management challenges in Eastern Europe and Western Balkans, especially regarding the societal transitions of the past decades, as well as future forest management scenarios and the contribution of FORMASAM to the Forest Sector Outlook study by the UNECE. Moreover, the participants visited both a real forest as well as a virtual forests both central parts of the training facilities of the University of Zvolen. We are grateful for the perfect organisation of this great meeting and would like to thank the local organisers Katarína Merganičová and Jan Merganic and of course all the participants for their contributions!
