The online Conference 'The Silk Road of Knowledge', organized by the German Kazakh-University in Almaty, Kasachstan took place on the .. of November. Dr. Anastasia Lobanova and Dr. Iulii Didovets have chaired a session on Climate Impact Assessment in Central Asian Region. The aim of the session was to analyze the state of art of the climate change and climate impact research in the Central Asian region and to identify critical gaps between the current climate related information field and the demand of different local and international stakeholder groups.
The First Central Asian Conference on Climate Journalism, organized by N-OST NGO took place virtually between the 26th and 27th of November 2020. Dr. Bijan Fallah from the Working Group 'Hydrology' of the 'Climate Resilience' Department at PIK gave a Seminar on Climate Data Modelling and Analysis.
The event was conducted in the frames of the Project “Developing Journalism - Exposing Climate Change in Central Asia” by N-OST and targeted independent journalists in the region to bring attention to the issues of climate change and ecology in the region and create opportunities of defining environmental policy topics and discussing current environmental issues.
