Employees of the institute can now access the eduroam wifi network at other member organizations - for example at most German Universities and Scientific Institutions - without prior registration.
Guests of the institute holding official IT accounts granted by any of the eduroam member organizations are in turn permitted to use the eduroam wifi network at the institute without prior notice.
In both cases authorization is granted on the basis of encrypted data exchanges provided by the Deutsche Forschungsnetz Verein (DFN).
