Biosketch

MIKE AHERN (mike.ahern@lshtm.ac.uk) is a Research Fellow in the Centre on Global Change and Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). He has a BSc in Surveying from the University of the Southbank, London; a BA in Geography from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London; and an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the LSHTM, University of London. His current research focuses on the health impacts of environmental change, and in particular the effects on populations in lower-income countries. He is Course Organiser for the MSc Environmental Epidemiology and Policy and teaches on the study units Basic Epidemiology and Globalisation and Health.
