For the project „REBOOST - A Boost for Rural Lignite Regions“ PIK is offering

a student research assisstant position (m/f/d)

 (Position number: 28-2020-student research position)

in economics and related fields

Subject to approval the candidat should start preferably on 15.08.2020.

The position with a monthly time of 20 hours is funded until the end of 2022. The hourly wage for 2020 with a Bachelor´s degree is 12,21 Euro and with a Master´s degree 16,60 Euro. Appointment is conditional on approval by the funding agency.

Key responsibilities:

Developing and carrying out interviews in three study areas (Lusatia in Germany, Konin in Poland, Gorj in Romania). Supporting literature review process. Helping in organizing group meetings, project logistics and management.

Requirements:

Advanced bachelor or master student with experience in social science research methods and skills in statistical analysis. Very good German and English communication and organizational skills, Polish and Romanian would be an advantage. Interest in the transition from current high economic dependence on lignite to a low-carbon future.
