Sandström's experiment & Bornö oceanographic research station, Sweden

Many famous oceanographers spent time at Bornö station.
In 1908, Johan Sandström performed his famous experiments here.
These laid the foundation for an understanding of
the thermohaline circulation of the world ocean.
