The PIK-CERA2 meta database allows to attach keywords from a multi-leveled hierarchical thesaurus to a data entry. Higher levels prove a greater amount of detail in describing the record than lower levels.
MMT supports you in selecting the thesaurus information by browsing the hierarchical tree structure of the thesaurus and selecting one or many tree entries.
The PIK-CERA2 Thesaurus is extendable. You have the possibility to extend the thesaurus by the NEW button at the bottom of the window. Afterwards you can select a keyword from which the hierarchy is to be expanded. You have to enter a keyword under topic_acronym and a description under topic_descr.
