Stakeholder Involvement
First international stakeholder workshop
In January 2004, 22nd -24th, the first international stakeholder workshop was hold in Vienna. Two to four participants from each case study region attended the workshop. With their knowledge and experience as local and/or regional planners, members of govermental authorities and private planning organisations major problems of sprawl throughout the case regions and possible, with regrad to the sustainability issue acceptable steering options have been discussed. The results of the workshop brought interesting insight in the sustainability discussion throughout different countries in Europe and are used to support the modelling approach.
