The IT Infrastructure & Services Group provides scientists at the institute the technological platform for numerical modeling, scientific computing and scientific data management. Services include the management and operation of high performance computers, hierarchical storage systems and data networks as well as a general user support. The group aims at providing scientists a balanced and flexible computing environment which is efficient not only in terms of performance and capacity but also in terms of total cost of ownership.
