I currently work in ci:grasp, a joint project of PIK and GTZ Climate Protection Programme, funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment.ci:grasp aims to provide a sound information basis on climate stimuli, climate impacts, vulnerabilities and adaptation options in threshold countries. The content of the developed information platform will pay due consideration to the target groups: local decision makers. Focus regions of the first project phase (2009-2011) are India, Indonesia, China, Brazil and Southern Africa and Tunisia.
Previously I worked for the CIRCE Integrated Project, funded under the European Commission's Sixth Framework Programme. I dealt with evaluating economic and social consequences of climate change, focusing particularly on three crucial sectors for the Mediterranean region: tourism, energy and agriculture. My research interests include the visualisation and communication of scientific results to decision makers, the investigation of the energy/water challenge, and the analysis of climate impact chains in threshold countries. |
