Speaker: Katja Frieler

Team members: Eva Bauer, Nadine Braun, Andrey Ganopolski, Bill Hare, Kathleen Markmann, Malte Meinshausen, Julia Nabel, Mario Parade, Joeri Rogelj,  Michiel Schaeffer, Thomas Schneider von Deimling

Description: In the coming years, how much will greenhouse gas emissions have to be reduced, if a particular climate impact should be avoided? How much does it take to stay below 2°C? Will post-2012 agreements ensure a high probability of saving coral reefs?

We in the PRIMAP team chose as our mission to synthesize Earth system science for international climate policy, thereby attempting to tackle some of the research questions that are important for science and society alike.
