Land Use

Land use describes the modification of the natural environment by humans. Dependent on  environmental and other conditions, natural land can be transformed into a variety of forms, including croplands, pastures, cultivated forests, and settlements.

Land use proceeds, when specific services are demanded from an area, such as food production, wood production, living space, and infrastructure. This in turn has an impact on natural resources including water, nutrients, flora and fauna.
