Access to Data and Metadata

This is the hub for direct access to data and metadata generated at PIK or outside the institute with PIK contribution.

Data access:

  • Cramer & Leemans CLIMATE database of monthly normals
The database is the last major update of the Leemans & Cramer database (Leemans & Cramer 1991), made in 1996. It contains long term monthly averages, for the period 1931-60, of mean temperature, temperature range, precipitation, rain days and sunshine hours for the terrestrial surface of the globe, gridded at 0.5 degree longitude/latitude resolution.
  • PIK Climate Diagram Generator
With this tool climate scenario data developed at PIK for the German part of the Elbe basin for the years 2001 to 2055 can be compared with observational data recorded nationwide for the period 1951 to 1998/2000
  • Project CarboInvent
The Coarse Woody Debris Global Database
  • Project Syndicate
Data from smallholder agriculture for about 500 municipos in Northeast Brazil in the 1990s: Assessing heterogeneous human-environmental dynamics
  • Project Urbs Pandens
Data provides insight in the residential preferences of suburban households in Eastern Leipzig, Germany

Metadata access:

  • Project INTEGRATION
The project conducted an integrated assessment of changes of the thermohaline circulation. The metadatabase contains the results from various models used in this project among others, the coupled climate model Climber-3alpha, a model of cod and capelin fisheries, and an assessment model for emissions corridors.
  • Project GLOWA-Elbe
The aim of the project is the development of strategies for a sustainable management of water in the Elbe river basin considering global environmental and socio-economic conditions
