Water
At first, critical states and affected regions have to be identified, analysed and projected for different scenarios, in order to determine the vulnerability of water-relevant sectors and nature areas in Germany. Here, main topics are the change in the spatio-temporal dynamics of the water cycle and its impacts on the water-relevant sectors and nature areas, as, e.g., resulting from floods and droughts. For this, a working group on “water-relevant extremes” will be set up and linked to the other focuses, as water plays a cross-cutting role in climate impacts.
