Workshop on Statistical Physics & Complex Networks in Socio-Economic Systems
Twenty leading researchers from the interdisciplinary field of
socio-economic systems modeling will discuss potential directions and
perspectives of further research, and to stimulate new work and the
transfer of methods from the natural to the social sciences.

The meeting will focus on the quantitative analysis and modeling of socio-economic systems using modern methods such as statistical physics, complex dynamics and networks, econo/sociophysics, agent-based modeling, evolutionary game theory. The small core workshop will bundle expertise from different disciplines to tackle the complexity in this emergent field, and foster the initiative FuturICT.
