Official opening of the "Small Refractor" on Telegraphenberg
The building that used to host a photographic refractor has been restored in its original shape and now hosts its first project, "Artists- in-residence", organized by the Potsdam Institute in cooperation with DAAD and "Über Lebenskunst".

For the celebration, PIK director Hans Joachim Schellnhuber welcomes Brandenburg´s minister for research and culture, Sabine Kunst, as well as Hortensia Völckers, director of "Kulturstiftung des Bundes", Dorothea Rüland, general secretary of DAAD and Matthias Steinmetz, head of the Leibniz-Institute for Astrophysics. The first artist in residence, british photographer Steven Pippin, will show his work.
