The German Federal Government is organizing the international “Bonn2011 Conference: The Water Energy and Food Security Nexus – Solutions for the Green Economy” to be held from 16 to 18 November. A public pre-event will take place on November 15th.

The international participants at the three-day conference will include up to 500 high-ranking decision-makers and decision-shapers. The participants will be representatives from governments and international non-governmental organizations, members of UN agencies, the private sector, stakeholders from civil society, academia and other groups. A public pre-event at the Bonn2011 Nexus Conference will discuss the core ideas and main concepts of the Water, Energy and Food Security Nexus, and why an integrated, interlinked approach is ever more important to successfully address the challenges of balancing resource demand and supply in the coming decades.
