Biosketch
Zuzana Imrichova is a research assistant at the Institute of Landscape Ecology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (ILE SAS – Bratislava, Slovakia), Department of Landscape-Ecological Synthesis, dealing with territorial systems of ecological stability and landscape-ecological plans (landscape management). Over six months in 2003/2004 she has untertaken training at the Danish National Environmental Institute, Department of Policy Analysis, working with indicators for policy development. In 2004 she has paticipated in Marie Curie program at the Aristotle University of Thessalonica, Department of Rangeland Ecology through the VISTA project (Vulnerability of Ecosystem Services to Land Use Change in Traditional Agricultural Landscapes). Currently she is involved in three FP6 projects (SENSOR, ALTER-Net and Rural-Etinet). Within the SENSOR project she contributes to the Module 6 dealing with sustainability issues in sensitive regions, particularly mountainous areas. Within ALTER-Net she participates in the WP Mobility and Training, responsible also for the organization of the ALTER-Net summer school. Her research interest is focused on biodiversity of rural landscapes (particularly grassland biodiversity), vegetation research, landscape-ecologial planning and sustainability. Her long-term research goal lies in integrated, sustainable management of landscape comprising social, environmental and economic pillar.
