In response to the challenges of climate change the Ecosocial Forum Europe, together with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and a multi-party group of Members of the European Parliament have decided to organise a high-level conference. A “Global Contract” is needed to reduce emissions without jeopardising the economic development and social cohesion of both developing and industrialised countries.
