Kai Lessmann is a senior scientist at PIK. His research interests include the analysis of incentives for cooperative policy in the context of global public goods, and integrated assessment of climate change with a focus on economics and the choice of policy instruments. He is heading the future lab on Public Economic and Climate Finance.

 

Other functions at PIK: Member of the PhD Mediator Team (internal link), and member of the Modeler's Council (internal link), 2015 head of council.

Climate change economics, public finance, climate finance, optimal and second best policies, international environmental agreements.
