Overview
The administration department is currently looking after approximately 230 employees. Vacancies, appointments, dismissals, regular and special decisions resulting from legal statutes, matters of business travel and expenses, salaries and other forms of remuneration are all handled by the department. In accordance with decisions taken by the body in charge of finance, the administration department prepares and manages the annual budget. During 2006 it controlled approximately 11,7 million euros annually (external funding included). Related to the budget, matters of procurement as well as financial, investment and asset accounting also belong to the administration department's workload. Another of its tasks is the control of external funding (3,9 million euros during 2006); this involves drawing up proposals, supervising procurements and preparing statements of account for running projects (81 projects in 2006).
