The ninth Berlin- and Potsdam-wide Long Night of the Sciences will be held on June 13, 2009. The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) will be participating with numerous presentations, lectures, and talks on the issues global change, climate impacts and sustainable solutions. The interdisciplinary character of the Institute will be reflected in the participation of scientists from all the disciplines represented at PIK. We are looking forward to your visit.

On September 28th and 29th 2008, “TippingPoint Germany 2008 – A dialogue between Climate Science and the Arts” will bring together some 120 scientists and artists from Germany, the UK, other European countries and North America in Potsdam. with the aim of exchanging thoughts, feelings, ideas and plans on the subject of climate change. TippingPoint Germany 2008 is organised by the British Council in association with the German Federal Cultural Foundation, the Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research (PIK) and the TippingPoint organisation in the UK.
