Antarctica - dynamics of the ice sheet

    PISM
The Parallel Ice Sheet Model - PISM
    • PISM represents the sea-level-relevant transition zone between grounded ice sheet and floating ice shelves by a superposition of two shallow approximations. Shown are vertically averaged velocities.
    • The ice dynamics around the grounding line as simulated with PISM compares very well with results of the Full-Stokes equation (Feldmann et al. 2014).
